SETeMa B.V. (Scientifically Engineered Textile Machines) based in the Netherlands was founded in 2002.
Its main objective is design and manufacturing of textile machinery based on the scientific knowledge of the
underlying processes.
SETeMa is focussing towards all textile finishing processes, around the printing process like dyestuff fixation
(steaming / baking), washing, padding/coating and drying.

A survey of SETeMa's productline:

Steamers
The Portafix Universal and the E-STeaM series are steam/air fixation units with integrated steam generator for the
fixation of all known textile dyestuffs into the fabrics. Temperatures in the range 100 - 180°C and dwell-times from
2 to 30 min can both be tuned for steam and hot air fixation.

Pre-/ after-treatment and impregnation
The Porta-Pad is a modular pre-/after treatment and impregnation unit , especially developed to apply low viscosity
pre- and after-treatment chemicals like an inkjet-coating or a finishing like a fabric protector, softener, soil repellent or
antistatic finish on textiles.

Washing
For various washing processes, starting at a simple rinsing proces for flags printed with disperse dyes, till intensive washing
for digital printed clothing textile, SETeMa recently developed the Porta-Wash line (see also News). Thanks to the modularity
of the system the type and number of baths in the Porta-Wash can be drawn up according to customer demands to meet the
desired washing process and production capacity.

Dryers
The Drum-Dryer is a modular roll-to-roll drying unit, specially developed for the combination with the Porta-Wash Line
and the Porta-Pad coating unit. The
Portafix Universal and the E-STeaM are also available as a steam/drier.
In combination with a Porta-Pad and /or Porta-Wash line they can be used also as a drier.

Modularity
The modular design of all separate products assures a high flexibility where customers can draw up there own line
for pre-treatment, fixation, washing, finishing and drying in each possible combination, as well as adding modules at a later
stage. This results in dedicated custom-made solutions at the lowest possible investment and also with the possibility to
grow with the expanding capacity of the printing production in the future.

Energy
An initial low energy consumption has one of the highest priorities in the development of all products. Steam and water
recycling and the re-use of heat energy from the waste water, steam and used air and a good isolation will reduce the
heat loss.

All products of SETeMA are available in 3 cloth widths: 1.85 m, 2.50 m and 3.40 m.
